Assam Police SI Exam Pattern 2021

Important Note:

1. There will be a negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer.
2. Candidates will use a black or dark blue ball pen to answer the OMR-based answer sheets.

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST:- 40 Marks

The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks. It will have 2 (two) events viz.

• 1600 meters race for male candidates and 800 meters race for female candidates.
• Long Jump – for males 335 cm (minimum) and for females 244cm (minimum), 3
  chances (longest valid jump will be considered).

Male candidates:

• Those that qualify in the PST must compete in a 1600-meter race that must be completed in under 450 seconds. 450 seconds is the maximum qualifying time.
• The long jump must be at least 335 cm (3 chances will be provided, with the longest valid jump rounded off to the closest cm being used to award marks).

Female Candidates:

• Those who qualify in the PST must compete in an 800-meter race that must be completed in under 240 seconds. 240 seconds is the maximum qualifying time.
• The long jump must be a minimum of 244 cm (3 chances will be provided, with the longest legitimate jump rounded off to the closest cm being used to award marks).

Final Selection:

• Written Examination – 50%-100 marks
• Technical Proficiency – 15% – 30 marks
• Extra-Curricular Activities – 15% – 30 marks
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 20% – 40 marks
