Educational Qualification

1. ASI (Steno):

Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.

Skill: Shorthand @ 80 words per minute in English OR in Hindi in 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in 50 minutes OR in Hindi in 65 minutes, on computer.

2. HC (Min):

Educational Qualification: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.

Skill: 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on the computer. 

Age Limit

BSF job required a minimum of 18 years to a maximum of 25 years with good sprite.

Age Relaxation:

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.

(i) Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, BSF candidates, Female candidates, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of examination fee. However, Rs.40/- plus taxes = Rs.47.2/- will be charged to every candidate including exempted category as “service charge” by the CSC.

(ii) Payment of examination fee will be accepted only through Online mode.
