NDA Exam Pattern

The NDA Exam consists of two papers – Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). Mathematics paper carries 300 marks and GAT paper carries 600 marks. Both papers will be conducted for 2 hours and 30 minutes each. The total marks for both papers will be 900 and the duration of the exam will be 5 hours.

NDA SSB Interview Pattern

The SSB procedure consists of two-stage selection processes – stage I and stage II. Only those candidates who clear stage I are permitted to appear for stage II.

Stage I comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on the combination of performance in the OIR Test and PP&DT.

Stage II comprises of interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.

Note: The question papers for Mathematics and Part-B of GAT will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. Questions involving the metric system of Weights and Measures only will be set wherever necessary. Candidates must write the papers in their own hands and will not be allowed the help of a scribe to write answers for them. Negative marking will be applicable, with a penalty of one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question for each wrong answer.
