Tamil Nadu Fine Arts Colleges Invite Applications for 2026–27 Academic Session

The Department of Art and Culture, Government of Tamil Nadu, has released the admission notification for Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) and Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) programmes offered at Government Fine Arts Colleges located in Chennai, Kumbakonam, and Madurai for the academic year 2026–27. Candidates from all over India are eligible to apply through the online application portal. Admission to B.F.A. programmes is open only to students who have completed 12th standard education.

Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualification

• B.F.A. Programmes: Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary (12th Standard) or its equivalent.

• M.F.A. Programmes: Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant Fine Arts discipline.

Age Criteria

• B.F.A. Courses:

  • Maximum 26 years for SC/ST candidates

  • Maximum 23 years for all other categories

• M.F.A. Courses:

  • No upper age limit
