MSE MBA Admission 2026: Online Registration Open for 2026–28 Session

The Department of Management Studies at Madras School of Economics invites applications from eligible and talented candidates for admission into its two-year full-time MBA programme (Business Analytics & Finance) for the academic session 2026–28.

MSE MBA Admission 2026 – Overview

Eligible candidates across India can submit their applications online. The registration portal opens on 10 April 2026 and closes on 30 April 2026. Detailed information regarding eligibility, admission process, and application procedure is provided below.

MBA Specializations Offered

The MBA programme at MSE Business School is conducted under a semester system and offers specialization in:

• Business Analytics

• Finance

Seat Availability

Each MBA programme has an intake of 47 seats, which includes 35% reservation for Tamil Nadu residents. The admission process follows the Government of Tamil Nadu reservation policy.

Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (including Commerce & Management), Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering in their first attempt.

• Final-year students appearing in May 2026 are also eligible to apply.

Minimum Marks

• General Category – 55%

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 50%

• SC/ST/PWD – 45%

Mathematics Requirement

Applicants should have studied Mathematics at Class 12 level or equivalent. This may include:

• NIOS Senior Secondary Mathematics certificate, or

• Undergraduate-level Mathematical Economics (Linear Algebra, Calculus, Optimization, etc.)

Additional Criteria

• Must hold a degree under 10+2+3 / 10+2+4 system

• No arrears/backlogs at the time of admission

• Valid entrance exam scores from CAT / GMAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / ATMA

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 25 years (as on 01 July 2026)

Selection Method

Admission will be based on the following factors:

• Academic performance

• Work experience (if applicable)

• Entrance exam scores

• Personal Interview

• Other criteria decided by the selection committee
