Online Applications Open for TN Government, Aided & Self-Financing Industrial Training Institutes

Department of Employment and Training has invited online applications for admission to Government ITIs, Government-Aided Private ITIs, and Self-Financing Private ITIs under the government quota for the academic year 2026-27. Students who have completed 8th or 10th standard can apply for various technical and vocational trades through the official admission portal.

Candidates must complete the online registration process through the official website. The merit list and counselling schedule will also be published online after the application deadline.

Educational Qualification

Students should have passed:

• 8th Standard, or

• Minimum age: 14 years

• Maximum age: 40 years

• No upper age limit for female candidates

Admissions are generally conducted during August every year.

Admissions are made according to communal reservation rules prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Government.

• Open Competition – 31%

• Backward Classes – 26.5%

• BC Muslim – 3.5%

• Most Backward Classes – 20%

• Scheduled Castes – 15.12%

• SC (Arunthathiyar) – 2.88%

• Scheduled Tribes – 1%

Special Reservation Categories

• Women Reservation – 30%

• Physically Challenged Candidates – 5%
