amil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has invited online applications from eligible Higher Secondary (12th Standard) students for admission to various undergraduate degree programmes for the academic year 2026-27. Admissions are available for B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), and B.Tech (Poultry Technology) courses offered through constituent colleges of the university.

Candidates from all states of India can submit their applications through the official TANUVAS admission portal. The online application process begins on 25 May 2026 at 10:00 AM and will remain open until 17 June 2026 at 5:00 PM. National Level Quota Seats

Veterinary Council of India (VCI) Quota

15% of the total BVSc & AH seats are allotted through the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi.

ICAR Quota

15% of the seats in B.Tech (Food Technology) and B.Tech (Dairy Technology) are reserved for candidates nominated by ICAR, New Delhi.

Reservation Policy for Tamil Nadu Candidates

Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Applicant must be an Indian citizen and a native of Tamil Nadu.

• Candidates who studied Classes VIII to XII in Tamil Nadu need not produce a Nativity Certificate.

• Native Tamil Nadu candidates who completed any of their qualifying classes outside Tamil Nadu must submit a valid Nativity Certificate stating that the applicant is a native of Tamil Nadu by birth.

Eligible Academic Streams

For BVSc & AH

Candidates from:

• Academic Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany & Zoology

• Vocational Stream with Biology and Agricultural Science (Agricultural Practices, Poultry or Dairying)

For B.Tech Programmes

Candidates must have studied:

• Mathematics

• Physics

• Chemistry

• Biology

Vocational Stream students are not eligible for B.Tech admissions.

Vocational Stream Reservation

5% of the total BVSc & AH seats are reserved for candidates from the Vocational Stream of the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board. This reservation applies only to BVSc & AH admissions.

Age Eligibility

Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026.

Maximum Age Limit (As on 01.07.2026)

• SC / SCA / ST Candidates – No Upper Age Limit

• All Other Categories – 21 Years
