Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen and a native of Tamil Nadu.

  • Candidates who studied Classes VIII to XII in Tamil Nadu need not produce a Nativity Certificate.

  • Native Tamil Nadu candidates who completed any of their qualifying classes outside Tamil Nadu must submit a valid Nativity Certificate stating that the applicant is a native of Tamil Nadu by birth.

Eligible Academic Streams

For BVSc & AH

Candidates from:

  • Academic Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany & Zoology

  • Vocational Stream with Biology and Agricultural Science (Agricultural Practices, Poultry or Dairying)

For B.Tech Programmes

Candidates must have studied:

  • Biology

Vocational Stream students are not eligible for B.Tech admissions.

Vocational Stream Reservation

5% of the total BVSc & AH seats are reserved for candidates from the Vocational Stream of the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board. This reservation applies only to BVSc & AH admissions.

Age Eligibility

Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026.

Maximum Age Limit (As on 01.07.2026)
