Note: As per G.O.Ms. No.235 Finance (HR-1, Plg & Policy) Dept, Dt: 06/12/2016, for each wrong answer, will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question

Paper 1: General Studies & Mental Ability:

  • General Science basics – relevance to day to day life, current developments in IT, Science, and technology
  • General Mental Ability -Logical reasoning, data interpretation, and analytical ability
  • Indian Polity and constitution
  • History of modern India with focus on Indian National Movement
  • Geography of India with focus on AP
  • Events of National and international importance
  • India and World Geography
  • Current affairs of regional importance
  • Current affairs of National Importance
  • Current affairs of International Importance
  • Disaster management – Basics (8th, 9th standard of CBSE)
  • Economic development of India since independence
  • Andhra Pradesh bifurcation – Economic, Social, Administrative, Cultural, Political, legal implications/problems –
    • AP Reorganization ACT 2014,
    • Division and rebuilding of common Institutions,
    • Loss of capital city,
    • financial implications and challenges in building a new capital
    • Cultural and demographic, the socioeconomic impact of bifurcation
    • Impact on river water sharing and consequential issues
    • Effect on commerce and entrepreneurs
    • Division of employees, their relocation & nativity issues

The topics of General Science will include the understanding of science and general appreciation in which everyday experience and observation are included. The questions from current events include national as well as international events.

The political, economic, and social aspects will be tested from the history of India. Questions from the Indian National Movement will be related to the resurgence of the 19th century, attainment of independence, and growth of Nationalism.

The geography of India will have importance in the geography section. Emphasis will be on the economic, social, and physical geography of India which will include the natural resources and Indian agricultural system.

In general mental ability tests, reasoning, as well as analytical abilities, will be tested.

Paper 2: Concerned Subject along with Topics:

  • Food Chemistry – Polymerization and polymorphism, Proteins – Classification and structure of proteins in food, Enzymes-Enzymatic and non-enzymatic browning in different foods, etc.
  • Food Microbiology – Microbial growth in food, Foodborne disease, Food Hazards of natural origin, Characteristics of microorganisms, Food spoilage, etc.
    • Food Processing technology – Food processing and its types, structure, and composition, Unit operations of food processing, Product development, Types & functions of packaging materials used in foods, etc.
    • Food Laws and Organizations – Laws and Regulations, National Organizations, etc.
    • Hygiene & Sanitation – Hygiene and sanitation in the food sector, Good laboratory Practices, Good Hygienic Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazards Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP), etc.
    • Public & Occupational Health and Nutrition – Public Health, Occupational Health, etc.
