However, NTA is expected to release the GPAT exam date tentatively by the fourth week of April 2023 at the official website, gpat.nta.nic.in.

A trend analysis of the previous three years shows that there will be further delays in the announcement of the exam date. The GPAT 2023 exam will tentatively be held in the first week of May 2023. The GPAT exam is conducted in the computer-based mode for admission to MPharma and equivalent courses. Candidates possessing a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized university can appear in the national-level entrance exam. There is no age restriction for appearing in the GPAT exam.

NTA will conduct GPAT 2023 in 110 exam cities across India at physical test centers. Candidates will be required to solve 125 MCQs (objective-type) in 3 hours (180 minutes). The exam will be provided in English medium only.

The GPAT application process began on February 13, 2023. After the registration, NTA provided an application correction facility, from March 14 to March 16, 2023. Currently, the next awaited event is the announcement of the GPAT admit card date and exam date. After the exam, NTA will release the GPAT result online. NTA holds the responsibility from the exam registration till the exam result announcement of the MPharma entrance exam.

The GPAT counseling is conducted by individual participating colleges. Candidates will receive a call from the GPAT participating colleges on the basis of their score in the GPAT Exam and the cutoff score decided by the preferred institute.
