IIT Madras to Host Entrepreneurship Summit: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is all set to hold the eighth edition of its annual ‘Entrepreneurship Summit’ from April 7 to 9, 2023. This event is the first-ever student-run entrepreneurial event that has received all ISO, G20, and UNESCO Certifications. Over 5,000 students from more than 400 colleges are expected to participate in the summit. Here’s everything you need to know
Four Conclaves
The summit will feature four conclaves – youth conclave, innovators’ conclave, start-up conclave, and sustainability conclave. The youth conclave has recorded around 2,900 registrations; the sustainability conclave has received over 600 ecological and entrepreneurial ideas toward sustainability. The innovator’s conclave will see 640 start-ups participating, while the start-up conclave will feature another 400 start-ups.
Elevate Fund-Raising Competition
The summit will also bring the sixth edition of the pan-India fund-raising competition, ‘Elevate,’ featuring 300 startups from various domains. This event brings eminent start-ups and venture capital firms with a combined ticket size of Rs 25 crore.
Startup Accelerator Program
This year marks the eighth edition of IIT Madras’ startup accelerator program that featured 500 early-stage startups in fintech, web 3.0, energy and environment, agrotech, and sector agnostics.
Special Events
This edition of the E-Summit will feature special events, masterclasses, and workshops for all baskets of the audience, including school students and rural entrepreneurs, to instill the spirit of entrepreneurship in everyone.
Unique Aspects
