Indian Coast Guard Civilian Exam Pattern 2023
- The written exam for the positions of Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade), Metal Sheet Worker (Skilled), and Multi-Tasking Staff conducted by the Indian Coast Guard consists of the following points:
- The exam is conducted for a total duration of 1 hour.
- There will be a total of 20 questions in each of the following subjects:
- General Knowledge, carrying 20 marks
- Mathematics, carrying 20 marks
- General English, carrying 20 marks
- For Technical Tradesman Cadres, there will be a section on the relevant trade, carrying 20 marks
- For the MTS cadre, there will be a Mental Ability Test section, also carrying 20 marks.

- General Knowledge: This section covers topics such as awards, authors, culture, defense, religion, capitals, wars, neighboring countries, current affairs, history, national anthem, freedom movement, dance forms, etc.
- Mathematics: This section tests mathematical skills and includes topics like simplification, ratio and proportion, algebraic identities, linear equations and polynomials, simultaneous equations, and basic trigonometry.
- General English: This section focuses on English language skills and includes passages, prepositions, sentence corrections, direct and indirect speech, verbs, tenses, punctuation, phrasal verbs, antonyms, synonyms, and the proper use of adjectives.
