Educational Qualification

JNU requires Ph.D. candidates to apply for their Research Associate notification 2022. The detailed information has been given below or you can verify it on the official notification itself.

Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Biotechnology/Botany/Biotechnology/ Microbiology or related areas with at least 2 years of work experience.

Desirable: Experience in gene cloning and mutagenesis, recombinant protein expression and purification is desired. Preference will be given to candidates having first-hand experience in handling and culturing of Phytophthora or related plant pathogens under laboratory conditions, their genetic mutagenesis and imaging by fluorescence microscopy techniques on a case-by-case basis.

Tenure: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The selected candidate will be appointed on a temporary basis, initially for a period of one year, and then maybe extended, based on satisfactory performance, by the Principal Investigator for a maximum period of three years.
