Revised Schedule for NEET PG Counselling 2023 Stray Vacancy Round

The MCC has decided to extend the stray vacancy round schedule for NEET PG counselling 2023 due to delays in the choice-filling process. This extension is particularly relevant to candidates applying to PG DNB institutes. The changes to the schedule are as follows:

  • Fresh Registration: Eligible candidates can now register for the stray vacancy round until 5 PM on October 12, 2023.
  • Reset Registration: The option for resetting registration will be available until 3 PM on October 12, 2023.
  • Payment Facility: The payment facility for the stray vacancy round will remain open until 7 PM on October 12, 2023.
  • Choice-Filling: Candidates will have until 8 AM on October 13, 2023, to fill their choices.
  • Choice-Locking: The choice-locking feature will be active from 8 PM on October 12, 2023, until 8 AM on October 13, 2023.
  • Seat Processing: Seat processing will take place from October 13, 2023, to October 14, 2023.
  • Result Publication: The seat allotment results will be published on October 15, 2023.

Reason for Extension

The extension of the stray vacancy round registration deadline is attributed to a delay in the choice-filling process caused by certain PG DNB institutes not reporting candidate information online. In response to this delay, the competent authority, MCC, decided to modify the schedule to ensure that all eligible candidates have a fair chance to participate in the NEET PG counselling process.
