Cancellation of PM YASASVI Entrance Test 2023

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has decided to cancel the PM YASASVI entrance test for this year to ease the burden on students. This cancellation aims to streamline the selection process and provide students with a more accessible path to the PM Young Achievers Scholarship.

Revised Selection Criteria for PM YASASVI 2023 Scholarship

In lieu of the entrance test, the selection for the PM YASASVI scholarship will now be based on merit, taking into account the marks obtained in classes 8th and 10th, as applicable, following scheme guidelines. All eligible students will be chosen through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) Portal.

Students who have secured 60% or more marks in either the 8th or 10th class are eligible to apply for the PM YASASVI scholarship on the NSP portal, which can be accessed at scholarships.gov.in.

The official notice regarding the cancellation and revised selection criteria states, “Keeping in view the paucity of time for the test, the Department has reconsidered the matter. It has been decided that instead of the Entrance Test (which will entail extra burden on the applicants), the selection for this year will now be done on the basis of the merit to be prepared considering the marks obtained in the class VIII & X, as applicable, as per scheme guidelines.”
