SSC Constable GD exam for CAPF will be held in 13 regional languages from 2024: Home ministry. The ministry said the decision will result in lakhs of aspirants taking part in the CAPF Constable GD exam in their mother tongue, improving their selection prospects.

SSC CAPF Constable GD Exam Language

The Indian government has approved conducting the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) constable (General Duty) exam in 13 regional languages, in addition to Hindi and English. The exam, which is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, attracts many candidates from across the country.

SSC CAPF Constable GD Exam Date 

SSC CAPF Constable GD Exam will be held from January 1, 2024. The decision to hold the exam in regional languages is aimed at encouraging local youth to participate and improve their selection prospects. The SSC Constable GD question paper will be set in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri, and Konkani.

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Staff Selection Commission will sign an addendum to the existing MoU to facilitate the conduct of the examination in multiple Indian languages. The move is expected to encourage the use and development of regional languages and promote local youths to make a career serving the country.
