The SSC GD Constable recruitment exam consists of three stages: Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST), and Medical Examination. The exam dates for the PET/ PST stage have been scheduled to start from 15th April 2023 onwards.

The PET/ PST is a qualifying stage where candidates are required to fulfill the physical standards set by the SSC. It includes tasks such as a 5 km race for male candidates and a 1.6 km race for female candidates, a long jump, and a high jump. The PST stage includes measurements of the height, chest, and weight of the candidates.

Candidates who clear the PET/ PST stage will be eligible to appear for the Medical Examination stage. The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in all three stages of the exam.
