SSC MTS Merit List 2023 (Released): The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently announced the results of the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2022. After a one-year delay, the SSC MTS 2022 result was released on September 2, 2023. The examination was conducted in two sessions spanning from May 01 to 19 and June 13 to 20, 2023. SSC MTS Merit List 2023:

The SSC MTS 2022 exam witnessed the participation of numerous candidates, and after rigorous evaluation, the Commission has declared the results. A total of 3015 candidates have been shortlisted for the next phase of the examination, which includes the Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test (PET/PST).

Here’s a breakdown of the shortlisted candidates according to their categories:

  • General Category: 1005 candidates
  • OBC Category: 715 candidates
  • EWS Category: 250 candidates
  • Other Categories: Remaining candidates

Age Group-wise Cutoffs:

To ensure fairness, the SSC MTS 2022 exam had two age groups – (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years. The Commission has set separate age group-wise, category-wise, and State/UT-wise cutoffs in the Computer-Based Examination (CBE).

SSC MTS Merit List: Shortlisting Criteria:

Candidates for the MTS and Havaldar positions were shortlisted based on their performance in Session 2 of CBE. For Havaldar, candidates were shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (vacancies: candidates) for the Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test (PET/PST). The Commission established CCA-wise and category-wise cutoffs in Session 2 of CBE.

Minimum Qualifying Marks for SSC MTS Exam:

Candidates needed to meet the following minimum qualifying marks in both session 1 and session 2 of the computer-based test:

  • General Category: 30%
  • OBC/EWS Category: 25%
  • SC/ST/Others Category: 20%

SSC MTS Selection Process:

The final selection and allocation of posts, States/UTs/CCAs will be determined based on the candidates’ performance in Session 2 of CBE, their preferences in the online Application Form, and their age group.

After shortlisting, candidates will undergo a document verification process. During this stage, they must submit various documents to establish their eligibility, including educational certificates, age proof, category certificates (if applicable), and any other relevant records. Subsequently, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will compile the final merit list based on candidates’ performance in the MTS examination. This merit list will be instrumental in selecting candidates for the available MTS vacancies.
