TN TRB TET 2026 Syllabus for Working Teachers
The syllabus is based on the state-prescribed topics for Classes 1–8, with difficulty up to secondary/higher secondary stage.
TNTET 2026 Paper 1 Syllabus (Classes 1–5)
Child Development and Pedagogy: Stages of child development, learning theories, inclusive education, teaching–learning process, assessment and evaluation.
Language I (regional language): Reading comprehension, grammar, language skills, pedagogy of language development.
Language II – English: Comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, communication, English language pedagogy.
Mathematics: Number system, operations, fractions, decimals, geometry, measurement, data handling, pedagogy of mathematics.
Environmental Studies: Family and friends, food, water, travel, shelter, environment, resources, EVS pedagogy.
TNTET 2026 Paper 2 Syllabus (Classes 6–8)
Child Development and Pedagogy (11–14): Adolescent development, learning and motivation, classroom management, evaluation.
Language I and II: Similar components as Paper 1 but at higher difficulty level.
Subject-specific: Mathematics & Science – algebra, geometry, mensuration, statistics, basics of physics, chemistry, biology, pedagogy. Social Science – history, geography, civics, economics, social science pedagogy.
